Bressay is one of the Shetland Islands, lying just east of Mainland Shetland and the town of Lerwick across Bressay Sound. This roughly 7-mile long island serves as a natural breakwater for Lerwick's harbor and is connected to the Shetland mainland by a regular roll-on/roll-off ferry service.
