About this property
Irregular and undulating in topography
Former landfill site for non-hazardous and inert waste
Two miles south of Micklefield

The property comprises an irregular shaped site extending to approximately 93.69 acres in total which is irregular and undulating in topography.
The site was formerly operated as a landfill used to store non-hazardous and inert waste, primarily from waste transfer stations.
The landfill ceased operation in 2019 and in that time the site has been gradually closed down. At present we understand capping works are almost complete and there are approximately 40-50,000 tonnes of top soil still to be laid with the final grass seeding to take place in winter 2025/26.
Final Construction Quality Assurance documentation to be produced upon completion.
Once closed, the remaining obligations on site will include general landscaping, maintenance of gas collection systems and environmental monitoring.
The environmental monitoring currently involves weekly perimeter landfill gas monitoring, monthly surface water monitoring and quarterly and annual groundwater and leachate monitoring. Although we understand these requirements should reduce over time.
