Internally
Meadowbrook is a comfortable and well-planned detached bungalow, benefiting from modern double glazing and oil-fired central heating. The accommodation is arranged to provide practical, single-level living, with a fitted kitchen diner incorporating a Stanley oil-fired ‘Aga’, together with a spacious sitting room featuring a natural stone fireplace fitted with a stove. From the sitting room, there is access to an adjoining conservatory, which takes advantage of the property’s sunny aspect and outlook.
The bedroom accommodation includes a principal bedroom with an en suite WC and wash basin, two further bedrooms and a separate shower room, making the layout both functional and inviting.
Meadowbrook is one of those properties that is difficult to fully convey in photographs alone. Its quiet position, sunny aspect and natural surroundings are best appreciated in person. The bungalow is presented in good order, is easy to manage, and would be well suited as a permanent home, coastal retreat or second residence.
Externally
The plot is elongated in shape, very secluded, and faces south across a partly wooded valley. At one end of the site there is a parking area, two single garages, a garden shed and a greenhouse. Pathways lead to either side of the bungalow and continue to a paved patio area, lawned garden and established borders with colourful flowers and shrubs. There is also a small pond, adding further interest to the garden.
The gardens have a slightly informal, natural character and are presently a little overgrown in places, adding to the property’s rustic charm. With some attention, they offer the opportunity to create a particularly attractive and manageable outdoor space, complementing the tranquil nature of the home and its setting.
To the southern side of the property is an additional area of garden, currently rented on a casual basis from a neighbouring owner. This area includes a vegetable patch, chicken run and further lawn, enhancing the rural appeal of Meadowbrook and offering scope for those who enjoy gardening, keeping hens or simply making the most of the peaceful surroundings. We understand that this additional area, extending to approximately 0.75 acres, may be available to purchase by separate negotiation. Please contact us directly for further information.
Overall, Meadowbrook represents a rare opportunity to acquire a secluded, manageable and characterful bungalow in a beautiful valley setting, within easy reach of the coast and some of Cornwall’s most picturesque countryside.
