‘Sylvan’ is a beautiful Victorian house which we have loved living in for the past few years and decided to move simply for a new project. Supermarkets are only a few minutes away, Colwell Common (perfect for our dog) is a 2-minute walk away and Colwell Bay and Totland Bay are only 8–10-minute walk away. Colwell and Totland Bays are perfect for children as they are shallow for a long way. The sunsets there are absolutely beautiful and The Waterfront (Totland Bay) and The Hut (Colwell Bay) are perfect eateries. The house is very insulated, it can heat up within 10 minutes and the huge loft is perfect storage (as is the large garage). We have had many wonderful Christmas’ and birthdays etc at ‘Sylvan’.
Having two lounges means extra flexibility with family and friends and we love entertaining in the open plan kitchen diner. The garden is south facing so there is sun all day and having breakfast, BBQs etc on our outside eating area is delightful. Neighbours are respectful and polite and we have been friends for years.
