Seller's Comment...
We have loved our time at Grove Cottages and will be sad to leave this charming character home. The exposed brickwork, original beams and cottage doors instantly won us over and we've lovingly updated and decorated all in keeping with the original look and feel of the place.

The open-plan layout has been perfect for the flow of day to day living and the sunroom at the back ensures plenty of light fills the downstairs space. We have enjoyed cosy winters by the log burner and evening meals on the patio in the garden.

The location is a walker's paradise with Gorrick Woods directly behind and Heathlake just up the road. Our dogs don't know how lucky they are! Just a 20 minute walk away you can find two brilliant independent businesses loved by the locals (and us!): U.Bakery offering fresh bakes and The Hive for craft beer - they're both always busy!

We’re excited for the next owners to experience the joy this home and location has brought us and know they’ll love everything it has to offer!

Will and Mike's Comment...
We absolutely love having the opportunity of selling character homes and certainly ones like this that are in excellent condition. Built in 1860, it has some lovely features throughout and some great space on offer, it could make the perfect first time or investment purchase. Our sellers have perfectly summed up why not only is this a great house but also a fantastic location with so much right on your doorstep.

As you can see from the details, the house has some excellent space on offer both upstairs and downstairs. The open arrangement downstairs really does give you a sense of space and is great for entertaining whist at the entrance to the home you have room for shoes and coats. Some of the features that we love downstairs are the new flooring, original solid wood doors but the log burner has to be one of our favourites creating a cosy feel to the living room. To the back you have a tastefully finished kitchen with enough space under the exposed metal staircase for a good size dining table. To the back, you have a good size cupboard with space for the washing machine. But behind this is the bathroom which as you can see has been well looked after with the sellers having kept the original metal bath, which has been recently re-enamelled. There is also the addition of a bonus room with a vaulted ceiling, skylight and French doors leading onto the garden.

Upstairs both of the bedrooms are good sizes, the master bedroom is to the front which has built in storage and wonderful wooden beams running across the ceiling. Our sellers are currently using bedroom two as a study or work from home space which also has a built in cupboard. At the top of the home there is an additional room which again could be used as another study, game space or simply just for extra storage with plenty of light coming through. You will also find the boiler here which has been recently changed.

The garden is a superb space and size, not only is it great for entertaining but it's also very private and mature. You've also got a large storage shed towards the back with rear access from here leading straight onto the woodland behind. The home also has some excellent frontage with ample driveway parking for multiple vehicles which is rare for a property of this age. If you are looking for a fantastic home which oozes character in a great location, then this really is not one to miss out on, we can't wait to take you on a tour in person.

Area Comment...
Grove Cottages is a row of homes set back from the road just off of Nine Mile Ride. This fabulous location gives you direct access as we've mentioned onto woodland behind and also is a stones throw away from Heath Lake with its fantastic wildlife and walking trails. If you're commuting, Crowthorne train station is just a 25 minute walk away and there are bus links close by on Nine Mile Ride. Transport links into London are within easy reach via the A329, M3 and M4 from here. This home falls under many of Crowthorne's local school catchments for both primary and secondary schools. For convenience there is a parade of shops on Greenwood Road which include a Tesco Express but for a larger shop, Crowthorne's High Street offers a huge variety of amenities and is only a 5 minute car journey away. If you looking for a little more however, the home is well placed between Wokingham Town Centre with all of it's amenities and the Lexicon shopping centre, which just over10 minutes in the car with a huge variety of popular retailers and places to eat.
