About this property
" We moved to Harrowdene in summer 2021, when I was pregnant with our son. We have absolutely loved the area. The area - and the street, in particular - has many young families, so lots of likeminded people who are now friends. The area has changed so much in 4 years with loads more foodie places - we love visiting bank, Bruhaha and Fox & West. We’re sad to leave but are moving away from Bristol to be closer to family. "
The home
A substantial five bed property in Harrowdene Road with a great kitchen diner and modern loft extension with two additional bedrooms and a bathroom. On the ground floor there is a large reception room at the front with bay window, original corning and open fireplace. There is a second reception room in the middle of the house, which would make an ideal study/playroom and the kitchen has been extended at the rear so it has plenty of space for dining.
Up to the first floor are three double bedrooms and a family bathroom and up again into the loft are two further bedrooms and a modern bathroom with free standing bath and separate shower.
The outside
The garden has both a lawn area and patio for dining and raised beds for plants and shrubs
Living in Knowle
One of the real benefits of this house is the amount and variety of parks and green spaces within a short distance. Redcatch Park and Community Garden, Perretts Park and Arnos Vale Cemetery, with its popular Atrium Café, all within 10 minutes walk from the house. The expansive Victoria Park and Callington Road Nature Reserve are also nearby, providing brilliant open spaces for the summer or for walking the dog all year round.
The area is easily commutable from Bristol City Centre, approximately 30 minutes walk, a short cycle or bus journey down Wells Road. The area also has lots of amenities on the doorstep with Wells Road recently becoming home to more and more popular bars, cafes and restaurants. The Knowle Pub is within easy reach and provides the ideal locals pub for food and drink and is a great spot for a Sunday lunch or a beer in the garden.
