About this property
" This has got to be one of the best places to live in Bristol, if not the world. Everything is within walking distance – from the city centre itself to the countryside around. All the local amenities are great and there’s loads going on all the time if you want it. These particular few streets are rather quiet, especially at night. Having a large sun room (summer bedroom!) and garden makes for a really relaxing living space. Grow the right plants and the garden fills with insects and birds (dragonflies this year!). The close neighbours are all lovely with a nice mix of ages along the street; it’s a good community whilst nobody is nosy.
The house itself is a solid 1935 build; well founded and dry, warm (and fairly cool) and easy to maintain. We’ve very much enjoyed living and entertaining in the open plan downstairs and garden space. "
The home
Situated on Gores Marsh road is this semi detached home with plenty of space as well as a generous garden and large workshop/garage. Downstairs is an open plan living room/dining room leading to the kitchen with breakfast bar and there is an additional conservatory with solid roof and doors to the rear garden. Upstairs are three bedrooms and a bathroom.
The outside
The patio garden wraps around the property and has raised beds for veggies and flowers. The additional workshop/garage is perfect for vehicle storage/utility or as a working area.
Living in Ashton
Gores Marsh Road in Ashton is very well-located for walking to North Street or to Ashton Gate for the rugby, football and live concerts. This area is popular with a range of residents for its popular shops and amenities and abundance of recognisable culture, typified by annual events such as ‘Upfest’ and the nearby Harbourside Festival and Bristol International Balloon Fiesta. Much of this area’s popularity stems from its proximity to Bristol City Centre.
The accessibility of the city centre makes this area popular with young professionals, commuters and those who look to enjoy the high-quality shops, bars and restaurants of North Street, including Sonny Stores, souk Kitchen, Cor and Kask wine.
On Gores Marsh Road, residents are on the doorstep to Greville Smyth Park and Ashton Court, ideal for dog walkers, runners or just a stroll outside of the city. For those who require frequent access out of the city, the property is also close to both Bedminster and Bristol Temple Meads train stations, a short walk to the Bristol Airport bus stop, as well as offering several routes by road to outstanding countryside and more rural attractions nearby.
