Points To NoteCentral locationGas central heatingDouble glazing Fitted kitchen Large first floor bathroomWhat the vendor had to say about her lovely property. What attracted you to the property ? I immediately liked the feel of the house the minute I walked in. I felt 'at home'. I liked that it was so close to the town centre, within walking distance to the train station (important as I was working in London at the time) but also that the road felt calm and peaceful despite its proximity to the shopping centre. What improvements have you made to the house ?Chimney re-sited with new pots and spigots. Lead flushing surrounding was replaced. Edging tiles replaced. Soil pipe replaced. Electric shower replaced. Boiler replaced. Garden fence replaced. Guttering to rear extension replaced, front guttering re-aligned. Exterior walls front and back have had 'blown' plaster removed back to the brickwork, 'brown bagged' and covered with a micro-porous covering. Taps replaced in bathroom sink. Glazing to the front downstairs window was replaced. Light fitting in bathroom replaced. What have you enjoyed about living there ?Street is very friendly, since lockdown we have had an annual street get together which we take in turn to organise. One neighbour shares her surplus that she has grown on her allotment. There's a really good mix of families and single people/couples from diverse backgrounds that helps create a strong sense of community without anything becoming intrusive or part of the gossip mill. We just all look out for each other. Outside of the people, I have also found myself adjusting to living out of a major city with comparative ease. It's a joy to have such beautiful countryside walks and pubs literally on my doorstep and I love that I am less than an hour away from the sea.Location Located in a superb central position within minutes of the Royal Victoria Place shopping centre, bars / restaurants and extensive shopping and social facilities.
Tunbridge Wells mainline railway station is approximately 0.5 miles distant and provides fast and frequent services to London Charing Cross/Cannon Street in approximately 45 minutes.
Tunbridge Wells also offers many supermarkets, 2 theatres, multiplex cinema complex, sports & leisure amenities and good state and private schools. The open green spaces of Dunorlan Park and Grosvenor Park / Hilbert Rec are also within approximately three quarters of a mile.
