What the owner loves about the home:
We have absolutely loved our flat since stepping into it eight years ago. It’s been such a happy home for us as our family has grown. We love the natural light throughout the flat and the feeling of space and warmth it provides.
The two double bedrooms are great, with the second one in particular offering a really versatile space that has evolved with us over the years - first a guest room, then a home office and now our little boy’s first bedroom. Since moving in, we’ve renovated the bathroom and kitchen and have redecorated throughout, adding new flooring and fresh paint.
It’s a home that has given us so many happy memories and we’ll always feel lucky to have lived here.
What the owner loves about the location:
When we bought the flat we were new to Hanwell and didn’t know much about the area. How lucky we’ve been! It’s the most wonderful community, with a real village feel and a fantastic mix of shops, pubs, cafés (Momentum is the favourite!) and local restaurants (we especially love Ran Thai). Each year there’s a host of brilliant events such as the Hanwell Hootie.
It's only two minutes from the Elizabeth Line which can take you to central London in 15 minutes (you can run for the train from the flat and make it in 90 seconds - trust me, i've tried, multiple times!). An added bonus is being towards the end of Balfour Avenue means there’s always a parking spot outside the front door! Our son’s nursery is also right around the corner, which has been incredibly convenient for drop offs and pick-ups.
There are also so many great parks and beautiful walks along the canal nearby, that at times it feels like you’re living out in the countryside, while still being close to everything London has to offer.
I honestly believe it's the perfect place to live. If we could move family to us, rather than moving closer to them, we wouldn't want to leave Hanwell at all!
