Owners insights:
What do you love about your home?
We love how spacious and bright our apartment at Aspect House, 17 Shelburne Road, N7 6DY feels. It is a large two bedroom home of around 100 sq m with a very comfortable split level layout so it feels more like a house, It has a generous open plan living and kitchen space downstairs and two double bedrooms upstairs.
The large south facing windows bring in lots of natural light throughout the day, and the double glazing and good insulation mean it is warm, quiet and energy efficient. There is ample built in storage throughout, including a pantry, storage cupboard and laundry area, which keeps everything feeling calm and uncluttered.
We also really value being in a small block with a period brick exterior, secure bike parking and a shared communal garden. It feels friendly and neighbourly rather than like a big anonymous development, and the outlook over the leafy street adds to the sense of space.
What do you love about the area?
The location of the apartment is one of the things we have appreciated most. It is a quiet, leafy street with low noise levels, so you get a real sense of calm at home, yet you are very close to everything you need.
Transport links are excellent. It is within walking distance of Holloway Road, Drayton Park and Arsenal stations, with Highbury and Islington and Finsbury Park also within easy reach.
Day to day living is very convenient. Holloway is a bustling commercial destination with a great mix of restaurants, bars and shops. There are multiple large supermarkets nearby, including Waitrose, Morrisons, Aldi, Lidl, Sainsbury’s and Nag’s Head Market, so you can get everything you need locally.
Why are you selling?
We are relocating back to Sydney to be closer to family, so sadly it is time for us to leave London. If we were not making the move back to Australia, we would be very happy staying here, as it has been a fantastic home for us and we have really enjoyed both the apartment and the local area.
