Seller's view
We bought 4 Harlech Road five years ago and have poured a lot of love (and a respectable amount of diy enthusiasm) into it. The back garden has been fully renovated, perfect for summer evenings, morning coffees, and pretending we’re much better gardeners than we actually are. Inside, everything’s been kept fresh and well‐decorated, so you can move straight in without lifting a paintbrush.
As a nature lover, I adore being surrounded by parks, it's ideal for walks, picnics, and the occasional attempt at “becoming a runner.” Horseshoe Lake is our summer playground, whether you’re into paddleboarding, kayaking, or simply watching other people fall in with great commitment.
Practical life is a breeze here. A big M&S, Tesco, and Sainsbury’s are all within a 3‐minute drive, and there’s even a Tesco Express just across the street from the back garden (which is dangerously convenient for snacks). Hospitals and gp surgeries are less than 6 minutes away, which is comforting for both real and imaginary ailments.
The neighbours are genuinely lovely, the kind who smile, help out, and don’t judge your recycling habits. The train station is a 10‐minute walk, making trips into London easy, yet we’re still close enough to the countryside for spontaneous escapes.
4 Harlech Road has been our happy place; calm, convenient, friendly, and full of little joys. We hope it brings the next owners just as much warmth and laughter.
Chris' comments
This is a brilliant home for anyone looking to get that extra bit of space without stretching the budget too far. What I love straight away is the extension at the back - it’s transformed the kitchen into a proper family-sized space. There’s loads of room to cook, dine and entertain, and because it’s already done, it’s one less thing to think about when moving in.
The living room at the front is a great size too, it’s one of those rooms you walk into and instantly feel at home. Upstairs, you’ve got two double bedrooms, and the third is ideal for a home office, nursery or even a dressing room if you're that way inclined.
The kitchen and bathroom are both in really good condition, nothing needs doing and it’s great to have a garage in a block for extra storage or parking.
You’re in a really convenient part of Blackwater here too, close to local shops, schools, and transport links, with a Tesco right on your doorstep.
It’s a great property, and I can see it suiting first-time buyers, young families, or even downsizers looking for something low-maintenance and ready to go.
Area View
Blackwater’s one of those areas that people often overlook at first - but once they move here, they realise how much it has to offer.
You’ve got everything you need close by. The Meadows Shopping Centre is just down the road, which is really handy for M&S and Tesco, plus a few extra bits if you need to nip out. You’ve also got local cafés, takeaways, gyms and everyday shops all within walking distance.
Transport-wise, it’s brilliant. Blackwater station gives you direct links to Reading and Gatwick, and you’ve got easy access to the M3 and A30 - ideal for commuters or anyone who likes to get out and about.
There’s loads of green space nearby too, like Yateley Common, Hawley Woods and the Blackwater Valley Path. Great if you’ve got a dog or just enjoy a good walk on the weekend.
It’s a friendly, established community and it feels like one of those places people stay for the long term. Whether you’re starting out, upsizing or even winding down a bit, Blackwater’s a spot that quietly ticks all the boxes.
