The apartment is accessed via a communal entrance shared with only one other property, with stairs leading to the private front door at first floor level. Inside, a light and welcoming entrance hallway provides access to the main living spaces and stairs rising to the upper floor.
To the front of the property is a generous lounge-diner, flooded with natural light from a feature bay window and offering ample space for both relaxing and entertaining. Wood flooring adds warmth and character, complementing the period feel of the home.
Also on this level is a well-proportioned second bedroom with built-in wardrobes, alongside a fitted kitchen offering a range of wall and base units, work surfaces, tiled splashbacks, stainless steel sink with mixer tap, and space for all essential appliances. The kitchen leads through to a large bathroom, newly updated in 2025, featuring a panelled bath with shower over, low-flush WC, wash hand basin with built-in storage, and an additional storage cupboard.
The second floor is dedicated to the spacious master bedroom, which benefits from an extensive range of built-in wardrobes with sliding doors, along with two further storage cupboards, making excellent use of the space.
Further benefits include double glazing throughout, gas central heating with a boiler installed in 2021 and still under warranty, and Council Tax Band A. There is no dedicated parking, however there is plenty of free on-street parking outside.
The property is superbly located on a major bus route, within easy reach of Gloucester Road’s independent shops, cafés and restaurants, and close to major employers including Southmead Hospital and the Ministry of Defence at Abbey Wood. A leisure centre sits opposite the property, while Bristol Parkway train station is approximately a 10-minute drive away and Filton Abbey Wood station around a 30-minute walk.
A Note from the Current Owners:
We’ve loved living here for the past five years, having bought the flat as first-time buyers and gradually updating it to make it our own. One of our favourite things about the home is how light and spacious it feels, with big windows in every room that fill the space with natural light throughout the day.
The flat sits on a quiet street at the end of the terrace with kind, friendly neighbours, yet the lively atmosphere of Gloucester Road - along with the city and beyond - is just a short bus journey or drive away. Horfield Common is only a short walk from the flat and has become a real highlight for us, especially with its community sauna and café.
Everyday life here is incredibly convenient, with Horfield Leisure Centre, a pharmacy, supermarket and post office all within easy walking distance. It’s been a wonderful place to live, and we’ll be sad to say goodbye.
