The Property
A beautifully presented 2 double bedroom top floor flat in an attractive private block located on the edge of Tunbridge Wells in the village of Pembury. The property has its own allocated underground parking, comes with a share of the freehold and a full range of integrated kitchen appliances. In our opinion a great first purchase or downsize, easy living property.
This is what the vendors had to say about their stunning apartment.
What attracted you to the property when you bought it?
It was perfect for my first home as a first-time buyer; I had space to grow but wasn’t overwhelmed with maintenance or too much space to fill. The second double bedroom gave me the possibility of renting if I needed to, but if I didn’t, also gave me space to have people stay. The second spacious double bedroom now doubles as a spare room, storage and a place for family and friends to stay, easily fitting a double bed if used as a bedroom, but otherwise has plenty of space to provide versatility in it’s use. I love the eaves, they give the property a warm, cosy atmosphere and being top floor means I have no noise from neighbours although the sound proofing throughout the building is fantastic. The property is in a ideal location for both work and home life being a short drive or bus ride into Tunbridge wells on the weekends and easy transport links with buses and trains to and from London, 7 days a week.
What improvements have you made to the property?
I haven’t needed to make any improvements as it was new when I bought. The most I have done is surface decorations such as shelves and a bit of painting. Most recently a fresh coat of white paint on the high footfall areas.
What have you enjoyed about living there?
I love the feel of the flat, the eaves make the evenings on the sofa cosy during the winter and in the summer the sun sets perfectly so that the flat is flooded with the orange sunset tones in every room. The spacious bedrooms have allowed family to live with me whilst searching for their own property, friends have stayed and then my partner and I created our first home together. We have fantastic links to London and the coast (Tonbridge is on the Hastings and Margate lines). The property is very close to the A21, giving access to road routes to the coast, London and further afield when we travel for holidays or to see friends. Pembury is also sourced with very good public transport, with plenty of buses running through Pembury to both Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge, Paddock Wood and Maidstone. The village has a gentle, quiet feel with lovely walks in the surrounding woods. But has all the amenities for everyday life: Local convenience store (including post office and dpd drop off), Tesco super store, petrol station, garden centre, fish and chips, Chinese, beauty salon and a lot of pubs! It’s very likely we will look to buy in Pembury as the location is ideal for all aspects of life.
