A house that actually stops you in your tracks, chain free, with two parking spaces a double garage and over 1,200 Sq. Ft. Of space that genuinely surprises. Honor Street does something different. It gives you a ground floor that you actually want to spend time on and that's rarer than it sounds.

The living room is the first thing that stops people. It's over twenty feet long, which on its own isn't unusual, but paired with two sets of French doors that open the entire back wall onto the garden, it stops feeling like a room and starts feeling like something else entirely. Light comes in from both ends. In summer the doors stay open and the garden becomes part of the house. It's the kind of space that makes you rethink how you actually live.

Then there's the conservatory and before you picture the wobbly plastic kind bolted to the back of a terrace, this one is steel framed with a full glass ceiling. It's an architectural room in its own right. The light through the roof on a bright morning is genuinely lovely and it connects straight out to the garden through its own set of doors. Most people on viewings end up standing in there longer than they expect to.

The study is the other thing that tends to land well. It's a proper separate room on the ground floor not a cupboard under the stairs, not a corner of the bedroom which means working from home doesn't bleed into the rest of the house. Three bedrooms stay three bedrooms. There's also a ground floor W/C, which is one of those things you don't realise you need until you have it.

Upstairs everything is solid. Three proper doubles, no compromises. The main bedroom has an en suite that doesn't feel like an afterthought — mosaic tiling, a large walk-in shower, the kind of finish that feels considered. The family bathroom has a bath with overhead shower, practical and well finished.

Outside, the garden is private and enclosed with a real sense of seclusion for being in a neighbourhood setting. The young trees are filling out nicely. And then there's the double garage, detached, over 260 square feet which is the kind of bonus that buyers only fully appreciate once they've moved in and realised what they can do with it. Whether that's cars, bikes a workshop, gym or something else entirely is completely up to you.

The house comes with a few practical details worth knowing, Virgin Media broadband ready, soft water supply, integrated dishwasher and washing machine and carbon monoxide and smoke alarms fitted throughout. The kind of things that are easy to overlook on a viewing but make a real difference from day one.

Newhall is worth talking about separately because it genuinely isn't like most places in Harlow or most places in Essex for that matter. It was designed from the ground up with a level of architectural ambition that you don't often see in residential development. The streets have a character to them. The houses look like someone actually thought about what they were doing. It's the kind of neighbourhood where people tend to stay longer than they planned to.

For families, the practical side stacks up well. There's a primary school within walking distance, David Lloyd leisure centre also within easy reach, green open spaces that children actually use and a neighbourhood that feels safe and unhurried in a way that's hard to manufacture.

For commuters and professionals, the location is quietly excellent. Harlow Town station puts London Liverpool Street well under an hour away, Cambridge is directly accessible and Stansted Airport is practically on the doorstep, genuinely useful whether you travel. Old Harlow and Harlow Town between them cover everything day to day, supermarkets, restaurants, leisure facilities, the lot.

Honor Street fits that bill. Chain free and ready to go, it's one of those houses where the photos are good but the reality is better.
