    Sellers thoughts -

Moving to this lovely two bedroom corner assisted living flat was one of the best decisions the vendor, with help from his daughter, made together.

After the vendor's wife passed away, he became depressed and withdrawn. Moving to Oxlip House introduced him to new people to share his many stories with while attending the social activities including afternoon teas, bingo, exercise in chairs and local schoolchildren visiting to name just a few (participation in any activity is optional, not compulsory).

Initially the vendor didn't need care until he had a fall at 86 years old and broke a hip. The live in carers (onsite 24/7) were with the vendor within 5 minutes of him pushing his emergency alert (cost included in the monthly fees). The carers took complete control including making him comfortable, arranging the paramedics, contacting family etc.

On release from hospital, the vendor relied on the incredible care team to help him with his daily medication, getting him in/out of bed, showering etc. Knowing that he was so well taken care was a huge relief to his daughter. Also knowing they are there for end of life meant he could stay at his now home until the end.

The vendor chose to have lunch each day in the restaurant so he could catch up with his new friends and to enjoy the three course meals. The meals are all well balanced, varied and plentiful which helped him maintain good health and weight.

To fund this purchase the vendor sold his bungalow in Colchester, Essex releasing equity and invested the balance, that investment provided the income to pay the monthly management fees.

The vendors daughter has said that making the decision for her Dad to move to Oxlip House was one of the best decisions they made together and she can't recommend the place highly enough. The vendors daughter is available to answer any questions you may have directly if you wish.

Please do take a look at this delightful flat and visit Oxlip House at Moreton Hall, Bury St Edmunds. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
