It was the first home I ever owned, so it holds a very special place in my heart and is filled with countless unforgettable memories. From the moment I moved in, it never just felt like a house-it truly became a home.
One of the things I loved most is the south-facing garden. It brings in beautiful sunlight throughout the day, and i’ve lost count of how many relaxing afternoons I spent there. Whether it was enjoying a quiet cup of tea, reading a book, or hosting barbecues with family and friends, the garden has always been a place of warmth, laughter, and connection.
Another favourite feature is the skylight with velix roof windows in the small functional space by the dining area. Especially during the winter months, when natural light feels extra precious, it creates such a cosy and uplifting atmosphere. I often found myself lying on a bean bag chair in that corner, watching my favourite series and simply being lazy there-it’s one of those little everyday moments that made living here so enjoyable.
The house is surrounded by a very quiet and peaceful neighbourhood, with friendly neighbours-mostly young professional couples from the local Reading area. There’s a real sense of community here, while still offering privacy and calm.
Nearby, the green space at the entrance of the development has been another highlight. It’s perfect for walks, outdoor activities, and if you have children, there are football clubs and activities happening every weekend, making it a great environment for families.
For me, this home has given me comfort, joy, and a sense of belonging. I truly believe it will be just as special for its next owner-whether you’re a young professional starting your journey, or a family looking to create your own beautiful memories.

To the front of the estate you have green space with cricket grounds and a pavilion as plenty of nice walks close by to enjoy. You are well connected to all your daily needs with Shinfield village having a post office, Co-Op and Tin Roof Cafè and you also have bus links from here taking you into both Reading and Wokingham towns, with an abundance of shops and restaurants to enjoy. That being said you have one of our favourite pubs within stumbling distance, The Shinfield Arms, perfect for an evening meal or you can enjoy their beer garden in the summer too.
