About this property
"Shortly after we moved in, Covid hit; the timing was terrible! I hadn't met any of my neighbours and clearly was unable to. But that summer, I received a little note through our letterbox inviting me and my daughter to a ve day celebration. We made bunting and got our chairs and sat outside our house and that day, I got to meet all my wonderful neighbours. We started a Jasper Street WhatsApp group on that day and it still going strong. It really is a true community."
The home
A gorgeous two-bedroom terraced home located down a quiet cul-de-sac, just a short walk away from North Street. The front reception room is a cosy snug featuring oak floorboards, working fireplace and a bay window bringing the light in. Towards the rear of the property is the thoughtfully designed open plan kitchen / dining space which has been extended with Bristol Sustainable Builders undertaking the work, using natural materials wherever possible. The kitchen is top specification built and fitted by Schmidt with integrated white goods, wine cooler, instant hot and filtered water tap and an abundance of storage. Bi-folding doors bring the outside in during the summer months with an electric awning to provide a little more privacy. There is a handy downstairs toilet and cloakroom space. Upstairs you’ll find the master bedroom at the front of the house, followed by a well-proportioned double bedroom and at the rear, a second bedroom and large bathroom with free standing bath and walk in shower.
Outside space
A low maintenance, gravelled garden with plenty of space to socialise with friends and family
Living in Bedminster
Jasper Street is a quiet dead end residential road of terraced Victorian homes in one of the most desirable parts of Bristol. Located in the 'Chessels', just off Chessel Street in Bedminster, this house is within easy reach of all of the amenities of North Street, including The Tobacco Factory, the popular Souk Kitchen, The Malago as well as highly regarded cafes such as Burra, Albatross Cafe and Tin Can Coffee. Heading further north crossing the river from Southville, you're less than fifteen minutes from all Bristol City Centre has to offer. For those who work in the city, the commute by foot or bike is short and painless, with lovely views along the harbourside. The journey home after an evening in the city is also straightforward and advantageous on foot rather than negotiating city centre traffic. Over the river to the left in Wapping Wharf with it’s vibrant food and drink scene. Beyond these is Bristol’s scenic harbourside with its boat trips and water-facing bars and restaurants. With this house being under 2 miles from Temple Meads - Bristol's main train station - and close to roads which can take you out of the city in either direction, the location of Jasper Street is certainly key to its popularity.
