Description
Dating back to around 1780, Glenhurst Farm is an enchanting period property that has evolved gracefully over time, with later additions complementing the original 18th century structure. The current owners have maintained the house with exceptional care, preserving its traditional character while incorporating modern comforts and thoughtful design details. Set within breath taking landscaped gardens and surrounded by abundant wildlife, Glenhurst Farm offers a rare blend of tranquillity and contemporary rural living.
A welcoming hallway sets the tone for the home, offering an immediate sense of warmth and space. From here, the accommodation flows beautifully into a series of charming and versatile rooms.
The principal drawing room is a particularly attractive feature of the property. Centred around a handsome inglenook brick fireplace with a wood burning stove, it provides an inviting focal point and a wonderful atmosphere throughout the seasons. Sliding patio doors frame captivating views across the gardens and allow for a seamless connection between inside and out.
A secondary sitting room/ cinema room provides excellent flexibility. Offering built in storage, this room lends itself perfectly as a cosy retreat, a playroom, or a home office depending on requirements.
The kitchen is very much the heart of Glenhurst Farm, an impressive sociable space ideally suited to modern living. A central island, extensive storage, granite worktops and a Belfast sink bring together style and practicality, while sash windows and bi fold doors ensure an abundance of natural light and glorious views. The space comfortably accommodates a dining table, making it ideal for everyday family life as well as informal entertaining. A Rangemaster cooker and a selection of integrated appliances complete the room. A separate utility room provides further practicality and storage.
Located on the ground floor is a charming bedroom suite, complete with a beautiful window seat, dressing area and en suite shower room. This is an ideal arrangement for multi generational living, guests, or those seeking a bedroom on the level without compromising on comfort.
The principal bedroom suite on the first floor is full of charm, with exposed beams, excellent proportions and lovely natural light. A dedicated dressing room leads through to a private en suite, creating a peaceful haven within the house. There are four further bedrooms on this floor, three of which benefit from fitted wardrobes, alongside a well-appointed family shower room.
As impressive as the interior, the grounds at Glenhurst Farm present a true sanctuary. Approached via secure electric gates, the property enjoys exceptional privacy. A sweeping gravel driveway provides extensive parking and enhances the sense of arrival.
The gardens have been landscaped with great sensitivity, creating multiple areas for relaxation, entertaining and enjoying the surrounding nature. A number of seating areas are thoughtfully positioned to capture the sun throughout the day, including a barbecue terrace with scope for an outdoor kitchen and pergola. Wide lawns, richly planted flower borders, mature trees and fruit trees come together to form a stunning natural environment that is both colourful and peaceful throughout the seasons. There is further land to be enjoyed, in total about 9.4 acres.
Outbuildings, stabling and further storage offer excellent potential for a variety of uses, whether equestrian, hobby-related or as opportunities for future enhancement, subject to the necessary consents.
Glenhurst Farm is a wonderful example of a period home that has been lovingly maintained and elevated for modern living. With its charming interiors, versatile layout, exceptional gardens and idyllic outlook, it offers a superb lifestyle opportunity in a highly desirable Warwickshire setting. Whether as a family home, multi generational space or countryside retreat, Glenhurst Farm is a property of rare beauty, comfort and enduring appeal.
