We fell in love with the character of the property from the moment we saw it, and the stunning views across Binfield towards Cabbage Hill as well as the greenery of Knox Green to the front of the house have always been a highlight of living here.
We have always tried to carefully preserve the house’s original charm when adding updates such as the staircase panelling and the living room fireplace. The wood burners make for wonderfully cosy winter evenings, whilst our summers are mostly spent in the garden which gets the sun all throughout the day.
The east-west aspect of the house also means we get light across the rooms from morning to evening.
We have also loved being right in the heart of the village. Having the Co-op, pharmacy and post office only a few minutes walk away is so convenient, with the Foxes’ Den and the Victoria Arms also a short stroll from the house for coffee runs and summer afternoons in the pub garden.
It has been great being only 10 minutes from both Twyford station for the Elizabeth line and Bracknell station into Waterloo, as well as having The Lexicon on our doorstep and Windsor town centre only 20 minutes way for days out.
It’s a special house set in a peaceful village with a vibrant community and we hope the next owners enjoy living here as much as we have.

Character cottages in the middle of Binfield Village do not come up that often and it's easy to see why. The property is modern yet still retains character features that you'd expect given the age of the home. You enter the property into an entrance hall and on the right is the living room, a nice usable square room with a log burner as the focal point, I can imagine cosy evenings in here with the fire roaring. To the left is the kitchen dining room, a good space with a pantry and a boiler that has been newly replaced. On the back of the home is a beautiful 4 piece family bathroom. I absolutely love stable doors and this has one onto the low maintenance garden. The garden has side access, a brick outbuilding and a patio and decked area, brilliant for entertaining.
Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, both featuring cast iron fireplaces which add to the character. There is also a bonus loft room, currently set up as a bedroom. While it cannot be classed as a bedroom due to building regulations, it’s still a fantastic and versatile space, with Velux windows on either side and lovely views towards Cabbage Hill.

We absolutely love Binfield Village and homes right in the centre like this are always a bit special. There’s a real community feel here, it’s the kind of place where people actually know each other and everything you need is just a short walk away.
You’ve got Binfield Stores, The Co-op, Binfield Primary School and The Victoria Arms all on your doorstep, whether it’s popping out for a pint, grabbing some bits for dinner or the school run, it’s all within walking distance.
There are also some great country walks near by, just head north of the village and it feels very rural very quickly.
It’s one of those locations people move to and don’t want to leave, and we can definitely see why.
