Owners Insight

We bought Babbacombe Cliff in 2018 as a holiday getaway for ourselves, our children and grandchildren.

It is a wonderful place which we have all enjoyed enormously over the years. The local beaches are relaxed and unspoiled and there are so many lovely places to visit a little further afield.

We have taken the sad decision to sell as our grandchildren have grown and family needs have changed. We will always hold William Morris close to our hearts.

Step Inside

A stepped approach rises to a secure communal entrance from where a further door opens to stairs descending to the apartment. A private door with spyhole opens an 'L' shaped hall with rear door to the fire escape and car park. From the hall thirty six stairs rise to the accommodation with leaded light window over the stairway allowing ample natural light. Sitting/dining room with large bay window with leaded light detailing enjoying views over the car park and across the communal garden with sea view towards Lyme Bay. Feature stone fireplace and access to roof space. The kitchen is fitted with a range of white fronted units and wood effect work tops with inset sink. Built-in electric oven with gas hob over, integrated washing machine, dishwasher and fridge. Cupboard housing the Ideal gas boiler, wood effect flooring, window and patio doors opening to the decked balcony.

Our Area

Babbacombe is one of Torquay’s most desirable districts, renowned for the stunning Babbacombe Downs with funicular railway taking passengers to and from the shingle beaches of Oddicombe and Babbacombe. The famous Model Village, Cary Parks with tennis and bowls clubs and wide selection of shops, cafes and restaurants are all close at hand.
Torquay is nestled on the warm South Devon coast being one of three towns along with Paignton and Brixham which form the natural east facing harbour of Torbay, sheltered from the English Channel. Torbay's wide selection of stunning beaches, picturesque coastline, mild climate and recreational facilities reinforce why it has rightfully earned the renowned nickname of the English Riviera.
