*** Vendor's comments*** "Having both grown up in South London we’d visited Croydon often and when it came to buying our first property, we saw this house in Thornton Heath which would come to call home for the next 30+ years!

We saw charm, potential and something that could be our foundation. As our family grew so did our home. Walls were knocked through to grant a larger kitchen diner, lofts renovated to give our kids all their own room, shed added for garden activities and trees planted to gift us pears and olives!

The tall ceilings, abundance of light and thoughtful layout that was both spacious and considerate for the five of us. The patio doors out onto the private garden which was our oasis in the summer and the perfect space for large family BBQs. The shed that doubled as a home gym hosting our well used treadmill and benching machine with space for a tool station to craft at. One of the smaller rooms was turned into a closet and the other a study to allow working from home and not being stuck in your bedroom or disturbing anyone else.

Arguably, the best room in our home is for you to decide, but our favourite is one of the loft rooms which has full views of the Croydon skyline and enjoys the fireworks shows at bonfire night and New Years. The loft space was also great for storing Christmas decorations and suitcases out of the way!

Transport to all the major hubs is a breeze with your choice of buses that will take you to Purley, Coulsdon, Streatham, and Trafalgar square at night. Therapia lane tram stop is a 10min walk away then a 20 min ride right into Wimbledon for the theatre. If you fancy a trip to Crystal Palace triangle you can do the 10min drive or the 30min bus. Thornton Heath zone 4 station a 15min walk away is perfect for commuting into Clapham junction and Zone 1. East Croydon is a 15min bus away for fast trains to Gatwick airport or London Bridge (15min) and King’s Cross(30min).

Staying local you have serval shops (Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Lidl, Greggs, ) nearby around the pond and up on Thornton Heath high street and Valley Park is a 5min drive away. You’re also in the catchment of all box park restaurants on Deliveroo! Mitcham common is a ten min walk away which gives you the feel of being outside of London along with Pollards hill park & viewpoint that gives you the skyline of south London.

There’s off street parking for one car and permit parking on the street which means there was always space for both cars to park.

There’s is a strong sense of community amongst our neighbours, whether sharing what we’ve grown in our gardens or getting competitive with Christmas lights! We’ve enjoyed street parties and festivals that have brought everyone together and everyone is on a first name basis and look out for one another.

Our kids attended the local schools and having now all finished their degrees it's time for us to hand this home to another family to enjoy".
