Owners comments...
We loved living in our family home in Greenham Wood. We moved in when we purchased this house, new, back in 1981. Having moved all of 800m from another house on the same estate. We had the pick of the plots however, before everyone else, so hence it sits on a large quiet and secluded plot with a really nice large rear garden and hardly overlooked. The views over South Hill from the upstairs are really nice. The location is fantastic. You can walk to large Sainsburys, Aldi or the local shops, the gym, local schools and even the choice of 3 doctors’ surgery and a dentist. Easy access to Bracknell, Reading, the M3 and M4 makes its perfect for many reasons. Work, shopping, leisure, sports. It will seem odd the house not being in the family anymore as it holds a lot of happy memories for us all over many years and am sure it will be the same for the next family owning it.
Area Comments...
Greenham Wood remains one of Bracknell’s most desirable residential locations, known for its private road setting, leafy surroundings and well-maintained appearance throughout. The property is perfectly positioned for access to South Hill Park, Swinley Forest and a wide range of walking and cycling routes, making it ideal for buyers looking to balance convenience with outdoor lifestyle. Everyday amenities are also close by, including The Village Hotel, Tesco and Sainsbury’s superstores, along with excellent transport links into Bracknell town centre, the M3 and M4. It’s easy to see why homes here rarely stay available for long.
Agent’s Comments...
This is a home that has clearly been cherished by the same family for many years and now offers a fantastic opportunity for the next owners to create something really special. Positioned on one of the larger plots within the highly sought-after Greenham Wood, the property already offers excellent living space with a large open-plan living and dining room, separate kitchen, utility room, conservatory and generous entrance hall with plenty of storage throughout. Upstairs, all four bedrooms benefit from built-in wardrobes, making this an ideal long-term family home with excellent practicality already in place. What we particularly love about this home is the potential it offers. Whether a buyer simply wishes to move straight in and enjoy the space, or modernise and extend over time (subject to planning permission), the footprint and plot size provide a fantastic foundation. Homes on Greenham Wood are always popular due to the private setting, mature surroundings and family-friendly feel, and this property is no exception.
