We have absolutely loved our five years on Ryeish Lane. We originally fell in love with the house because of its quiet cul-de-sac location, the green where children can safely play and the completely private, south-west-facing garden - but it’s the life we’ve built here that will make it so difficult to leave.

Our son was four when we moved in and our daughter was born while we lived here, so this house has been the backdrop to some of our happiest memories. The children have grown up playing with their friends on the green, learning to ride their bikes and scooters, swinging in the hammock and enjoying scenic walks around the beautiful local area. Summers have been spent having pool parties and BBQs in the garden, while the bright, spacious kitchen has allowed us to keep an eye on the children and still be right at the heart of the fun when friends and family come over.

We’ve worked hard to make the house a brilliant family home, adding fitted wardrobes, clever under-stairs storage, a breakfast bar, electric car charger and, possibly our favourite investment, air conditioning! On those hot summer nights, we’ve definitely felt slightly smug enjoying a beautifully cool house. With a three-car driveway, additional visitor parking and the ability to walk, cycle or scoot to school, everyday family life here has always felt easy.

What we’ll miss most, though, is the community. We have the most wonderful mix of neighbours, from young professionals and families to grandparents, and everyone genuinely looks out for one another - whether that’s putting bins away, feeding pets, sharing school runs and dinners or keeping an eye on each other’s homes while someone is away. We’ll be incredibly sad to leave, but we know this house is ready for another family to fall in love with it and make just as many happy memories here as we have.
