Home to the owners Josh and Daphne since 2018, this well-presented two bedroom mid-terrace house set quietly within a residential close, offers generous living space, a large rear garden with a cozy level seating area at the back, and convenient links to the City.
A Quick Tour
Measuring over 1100 sqft (including the loft) the house is surprisingly spacious for a 2 bed. The living room enjoys plenty of natural light thanks to the large window at the front and going into the thoughtfully redesigned kitchen-diner, that theme continues.
Heading upstairs, there are two double bedrooms, each with versatile storage options. The main bedroom is 6m long, allowing for more than enough space for a work from home setup, which Josh has taken full advantage of. The bathroom between the two bedrooms completes this floor, with a shower bath.
Improvements J&D have made
J&D have made a number of improvements during their ownership, including a complete remodel of the downstairs over the last four years. The kitchen has been updated with new flooring and a built-in table, while the white goods have also been replaced with new models.
The rear garden has been transformed from a sloping, overgrown space into a much more usable garden, with a level seating area at the back and raised flowerbed. New fencing has also been installed to both sides, making this a great space for relaxing or entertaining during the warmer months.
At the front, it has been redesigned as a low-maintenance stone garden with evergreens and perennials and a beautiful wisteria along the face of the house.
The Location
The location also works well for commuters. St Mary Cray Station is nearby, providing rail connections towards London, including Victoria (in 25 mins) and Blackfriars (in 40 mins), while local bus routes provide connections towards Orpington High Street & Sidcup (both 20 mins) and Woolwich (in 45 mins).
There are plenty of green spaces nearby, with Scadbury Nature Reserve a particular favourite of J&D to walk their dog Eevee, while Knole Park in Sevenoaks is around a 30-minute drive away. The property is also approximately 20 minutes by car from Bluewater, with the M20 providing a convenient route into Kent.

A little more from Josh and Daphne directly…
Since moving in, what is your favourite thing about living in your home?
The spacious rooms have given us plenty of space to decorate and make the house feel like our own.
Can you share any knowledge that only a local resident would know?
Although we’re in the middle of a residential area, the road is surprisingly quiet. We’re on a cul-de-sac off a small side road, so there is very little traffic noise.
How are your neighbours?
Our neighbours are friendly and have never caused us any issues during the years we’ve lived here. They’re mostly private, hardworking people, but there’s always a friendly hello if you happen to see each other outside.
What would you recommend locally?
Sports & fitness: The Walnuts is due to reopen its gym and sports centre following a full renovation, which should be a great local facility.
Café: Twinz Bakery is a favourite. The staff are friendly, the bread and cakes are freshly baked, and they make sandwiches exactly how you like them. It’s also right by the train station, so it’s great for breakfast on the go.
Pubs: We usually travel into Kent for pubs, but the best local option would be The Tiger's Head in Chislehurst.
Restaurants: We’re spoilt for choice. Indian Valley is our go-to Indian restaurant, while Orpington High Street has places such as Joy Kitchen and Alpha Mediterranean. There are also so many good Chinese takeaways locally that we tend to order from lots of different ones.
Is there anything else you particularly enjoy about living here?
We like how easy it is to get to both London and Kent. Bluewater is around 20 minutes away by car, and the M20 is a quick route into Kent, while there are also good connections into central London. We've also enjoyed gradually improving the house over the years and making it feel like our own.
