What We've Loved About Living Here - Seller's View
For the last 13 years, my family and I have been lucky enough to call this unique and beautiful property home. Its location offers a rare sense of privacy and seclusion, whilst still being within walking distance of local schools, shops and Blackwater train station.
Having Yateley Common and Minley Woods quite literally on our doorstep is one of the things we'll miss most. They've provided the perfect escape for peaceful walks, fresh air and countless adventures with the family dog.
The house itself is a bit of a Tardis, with its true size and versatile layout only becoming apparent as you move through the hallway into the stunning open-plan living space.
The lounge is equally enjoyable in summer, with the doors open onto the garden, as it is in winter, when it's the perfect place to cosy up and relax. The kitchen has always been the heart of our home, with family catch-ups, celebrations and everyday moments centred around the island.
The spacious layout has adapted effortlessly to our family's needs over the years, while the generous bedrooms have provided the perfect retreat for our daughters whenever they wanted their own space.
This house has given us so many wonderful memories, and we're sure it will do the same for its next owners.
Jack's Comments
For me, the biggest selling point here is the way this home has been extended and how much it's changed the feel of the property. Rather than simply adding extra square footage, it's created a home that offers genuine flexibility for modern family life.
The open-plan kitchen, dining and living space is incredibly impressive. Everything flows naturally from one area to the next, making it a brilliant place to spend time together whether you're cooking, entertaining or simply relaxing at the end of the day. It's a layout that adapts just as well to everyday family life as it does when you have friends and family over and with lots of cool features, my favourite being the integrated speakers.
One thing I really like is that the space gives you options. You could have a large dining table, a generous seating area and still have room for children to play or for someone to work from home without the house ever feeling cramped. It's the sort of living space that's difficult to appreciate until you're standing in it.
The bedroom accommodation is equally strong. There are four genuine double bedrooms, while the principal suite benefits from its own dressing room and en suite, giving it a real sense of separation from the rest of the house. The family bathroom is also a great size and finished to a lovely standard.
Outside, the garden continues that theme of flexibility. It's private, enjoys plenty of sunshine and the summer house provides another versatile space that could work equally well as a home office, gym or hobby room.
Overall, this is a home that feels much larger than you might expect from the front. The extension has completely transformed the way it lives, creating a fantastic balance between open social space and practical family accommodation. Combined with the generous parking, excellent condition and convenient location close to Hawley Woods and commuter links, I think it will appeal to a wide range of buyers looking for a home they can enjoy for many years.
Area View
Lowlands Road enjoys a convenient position on the edge of Blackwater, offering a great balance between everyday amenities and access to the outdoors. Whether you're commuting, raising a family or simply looking for somewhere practical to live, it's a location that makes day-to-day life easy.
Within walking distance you'll find Tesco Express for the essentials, while The Meadows Shopping Centre is just a few minutes away with a wider range of shops, supermarkets, cafés and restaurants. For those commuting, Blackwater Station is nearby, and the A30, M3 and M4 are all easily accessible, making travel towards Reading, Guildford, Farnborough and London straightforward.
If you enjoy getting outside, Hawley Woods is close by and offers miles of woodland walks, making it a favourite with dog walkers, runners and families alike. There are also several well-regarded schools within easy reach, adding to the area's appeal for growing families.
It's a location that combines convenience with plenty of green space, making it easy to see why so many buyers choose to settle here for the long term.
