If you lived here...

The long entrance hall leads to a bright front reception room, where a bay window and feature fireplace bring character and warmth. To the rear, the extended kitchen, dining and reception room spans the full width of the house, creating an impressive open-plan space for everyday family life, relaxed evenings and entertaining, with space to gather, cook and unwind together throughout the day. Fitted cabinetry offers useful storage, while the roof lantern and glazed door brings in plenty of natural light and opens onto the garden.

Three well-proportioned double bedrooms sit on the first floor, alongside the family bathroom and a boiler cupboard off the landing. The second floor is home to two further double bedrooms and another bathroom, making the layout ideal for larger families or guests. A word from the owner...

“Castleton Road has been a wonderful family home and is an incredibly spacious, peaceful, and easy house to live in. It offers plenty of room for a growing family and comfortably accommodates lots of furniture without ever feeling crowded. The house is filled with natural light, stays warm and cosy in the winter, and remains pleasantly cool during the summer. Being surrounded by well-maintained gardens and mature trees makes it an especially relaxing place to call home. We are genuinely sad to be leaving, but family circumstances mean it is the right time for us to move on. Over the years, we have invested a great deal of care and work into the house, and we hope the next family will enjoy living here as much as we have. The location is another real highlight. Wood Street is just a short walk away, with the Co-op, independent shops, and excellent cafés-Dudley's has always been a particular favourite. I've also loved my daily walk to visit my daughter. One of the things we'll miss most is the wonderful sense of community on Castleton Road. This summer we visited the annual Jumble Trail, which was a fantastic opportunity to meet even more of our friendly and welcoming neighbours. People genuinely look out for one another, whether it's putting the bins out, taking in parcels, or simply stopping for a chat. It's a warm, supportive neighbourhood that has made living here truly special."
