A personal bio from the owners:

A peaceful and spacious end-of-terrace Victorian property built c.1890, nestled in one of Woodford Green’s most connected spots.

We fell in love with Gainsborough Road on our first viewing, instantly drawn to the historic charm of the exterior and the light-filled, versatile interior that balances open-plan living with cosy rooms. It has been a wonderful backdrop for our lives: From getting married and starting a family, to catching the late evening sunset in the garden after a long day, and winter walks with our dog down by the Roding River, Ray Lodge Park and Claybury Woods Nature Reserve. The conservatory and greenhouse have also been a fantastic, light-filled asset for our family floristry business.

The community here is fantastic; we were welcomed by a warm mix of young families, professionals, and long-standing residents. Over the years, the high street has grown into a brilliant hub with great coffee shops and restaurants, and having strong local schools and Woodford Station a short walk or bus ride away made daily life effortless.

We’ve refurbished the house (including a fully fitted kitchen, bathroom, and WC), installed a new Vaillant boiler in December 2024 (fully serviced with history), and partially boarded the loft with a pull-down ladder and lighting for easy storage. Parking is easy, with resident permits available for visiting family.

We will genuinely miss this special house, but we are excited for its next occupants to write their own chapter here.
