***Landlord's comments:*** I passed by Saffron Tower couple of times on my way to Gatwick and was attracted by the aesthetic. We were also looking for a place offering quality (Berkeley) at a more reasonable price than Central London. You have access to great amenities (gym and air conditioned lounge). The development is clean, safe and convenient with a 24h concierge. The apartment is well made with a functional kitchen and a great bathroom and was ideal for us as a couple.
Living in Central Croydon is very convenient: Box park, M&S, Centraal and Whitgift are a short walking distance and there is a local Tesco in the development. You just have to go a little further to find even more shopping facilities as Purley Way Retail Park and ikea is only 20 minutes away. The restaurant scene has been growing steadily so it won't be difficult to find something you fancy! We both worked in Central London and the way there from Croydon can't have been more convenient. Being 20 minutes away from London Bridge and access to Clapham and Victoria is great and definitely faster than the underground. The fact that Croydon is a major hub is very helpful when trains don't work as well, most trains will stop there so you won't have to worry too much about how to get home.
We lived in the apartment for four years and would have stayed longer if we didn't need the extra space. We only need the bigger space since the birth of our daughter. What we will definitely miss is the convenience, the access to shops and great place to eat, especially Box Park."
